In the Glow: Ripple

This wall sculpture began as a material exploration that transformed into an elegant organic yonic form.
This one-of-a-kind wall-hanging sculpture is made of stitched 100% wool ‘design felt’ over stretcher bars. The subtle pink color emanating from the opening is tinged by reflected light— as the back side of this piece is colored with intensely bright neon pink paint. I’ve left openings at the sides, top, and bottom edges to allow even more light in (and out). This experiment in color is the first of a new line of wall-mounted sculptures.
This piece was featured in my solo exhibit ‘In The Glow’ at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California from September - December 2024.
