Corymbus wool sculpture

$300.00

Corymbus, wool and wood, 3.5 x 3.5 x 1.75 inches, 2026.

This one-of-a-kind wall-mounted sculpture explores proliferation, growth, and life force. It is one of a small series of pieces I created after a yearly breast exam prompted a biopsy that proved to be benign. The fresh joy of aliveness in counterpoint to the imagined worst case scenarios could only be expressed in sculptural form. I remain acutely aware that life means change, and growth can be positive or negative in different contexts.

The title, Corymbus, is latin for “a cluster of fruit or flowers.”

This piece is signed by the artist and has a sawtooth hanger affixed.
