Felt Aerie air plant wall art brings an easy-care organic touch to interior spaces. Each sculptural wall piece was designed, cut, and stitched by hand, and thoughtfully paired with an individual air plant.

This piece pairs clean lines in heathered-grey-colored 3mm wool felt with the exuberant flair of an organic life form reaching outward and upward. The smooth alien-like leaves of the Tillandsia Bialeyi Air Plant appear to flow out of the pocket stitched in the felt structure. This piece was constructed around wood frame and hangs from a sawtooth hanger.

Air plants are unique in that they absorb water and nutrients from their leaves, not their roots. This air plant is not glued or affixed to its holder; remove it and soak your air plant every 7 - 10 days for about 20 minutes. After soaking, gently shake off excess water and let it dry completely before placing it back into its felt home; overwatering leads to rot.

Filtered, well or rain water is best. Municipal water with chlorine may be harmful. Avoid distilled water as the nutrients have been removed.

Provide bright but indirect light- indirect sunlight is best but bright artificial lighting is also sufficient.

Dust your 100% wool FeltAerie by spraying with canned air (available at office supply stores). Spot clean felt as needed with a damp cloth.
